It’s not too late to sign up! Join me for the second annual trip to the southern shores of Lake Erie in search of migrating warblers and myriad of other birds. The lakefront offers some of the best birding in North America during spring migration. Our goal? Lots of warblers, over 100 species of birds, and a trip full of memories and fun!
This tour will provide participants with 3 nights lodging and breakfast at the Sleep Inn in Port Clinton, personalized guide service in a small group setting, snacks and drinks, and all transportation. We will spend each morning looking for warblers and other songbirds, then either the afternoon or evening searching for shorebirds, wading birds, waterfowl, or maybe even owls. There are lots of places to go birding…
Maumee Bay State Park
East Harbor State Park
Pipe Creek Wildlife Area
Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area
Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
Magee Marsh Wildlife Area (and the famous Magee Marsh boardwalk)
Sheldon Marsh State Nature Preserve
Other birding spots along the Lake Erie Birding Trail
All the planning is done for you! Personalized guide service for every bird outing! Scheduled for the peak of migration! What’s not to like?!?
The only expenses you will have on the trip are lunches and dinners. Once our group is finalized, I will go over more details. Weather could dampen the experience a bit, but it will not be a reason for cancellation. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
